We also have 2 special guests coming to our August meeting. They are the recipients of our scholarship program, Michael Cloninger and Jeremy Dodd.
Our July speakers were Steve Livingston and Jon Stewart with Alabama Contractors Equipment and Gadsden Scaffold.
Alabama Contractors Equipment was sold in 1997 to US Rentals then to United Rentals then to Southern Equipment Rentals, then closed.
Alabama Contractors Equipment has reopened May 1st and is going strong. Steve says if you ever had an account on the books, its still there and come in to rent your next equipment need.
Jon works with the scaffold manufacturing end. He said that they shipped $3.2 million in scaffolds and will probably hit $4 million this year. They manufacture attachments for Bob Cats and Skid Steers, pallet forks, grapple anger attachments and attachments for Dingo. All these are manufactured here through our local machine shops and are hot dipped and galvanized.
Alabama Contractors Equipment is your local Sid Steer Dealer and have a good selection of trowel machines, mortar mixers, water pumps, generators, brick saws, and scaffolds. They want to rent you your next equipment.

Our September 12th meeting will be our family picnic at Moragne Park. Come and bring your family. We are having it catered and will have entertainment. The Board of Directors has agreed to call each of you to ask for your reservations so that we know how many to prepare for.
