We have hired an executive officer ! If you were at the last Gadsden Homebuilders meeting then you heard this discussed by our president. The board voted to hire Sandra Patterson for this position and I hope each of you are as excited as I am about this.
Sandra has been involved with our association for a number of years and was very involved in the success of several of our programs
For years , we have all heard of other associations across the state who have hired someone to go out and promote our business by making contacts, being visible , being involved and helping our association to grow. We have joined that trend so please join me in welcoming Sandra.
We have a new office for our association. Many of you who have been around for years recall the discussions we have had on having our own building . This would allow us our own place to meet with customers, hold monthly meetings, meet with vendors, etc. The first step in making that reality is to lease an office and verify the usage and practicality of our building. I personally think this is great and shows the vision that our board has for the future of our association.
Office location is : 215 Walnut St, Gadsden ( behind Professional Opticians)
The lease begins on July 1st. This office will be available for use by our members for business use.

July 14th is an important day for our association . Silver Lakes will host The John Wesley Memorial Classic, in memory of John Wesley Foster. John Wesley is the son of Heather and Mike Foster who passed away suddenly last year from Sudden Arrhythmia Death . Mike was formerly the vice-president of our homebuilders association and now lives in Florida. This foundation will help raise money for portable defibrillators (AED’s) which will be used at schools, churches and youth sporting complexes. I would encourage each of you to become involved. Please see me or one of the other board members for details on this very worthy event.
The $10,000 give-a-way date has been set for September 29th
Once again, tickets are $125. Same location as before (Gadsden Shrine Club )
This years tickets offer a space for the name of a proxy, in the event you can’t be present.
The rumor on the street is that I have the lucky winning ticket. I have tickets 1-15
